Katakolon Shore Excursion: Olympic site, Honey/Olive Oil Tasting

На этот раз в прошлом году у нас была возможность отправиться в этот тур, когда наш корабль-коляска пришвартовался в Катаколоне. К счастью, я прочитал обзор раньше и предварительно заказал этот тур. Когда мы вышли из лодки, мы увидели массивные группы для распроданных береговых экскурсий. А потом мы увидели знак нашего тура. , , , маленький элегантный тренер ждет нас с дружелюбным лицом. На выезде в Олимпию мы услышали все о регионе и много узнали об истории сайтов, которые мы увидели бы, что мы все очень рады приехать. Наш гид имел историю истории искусства, и это было потрясающе. Затем мы остановились для покупок и дегустации оливкового масла. Все было сделано так профессионально, и все же мы чувствовали, что мы находимся на интимной семейной прогулке с 13 людьми. Не могу сказать достаточно об этом туре, это был действительно изюминкой всей нашей поездки, и мы провели 5 недель по всей Европе! ! Если у нас когда-нибудь будет возможность забронировать тур с этим семейным бизнесом, мы это сделаем.

Легко найти, хорошо кондиционированный, комфортабельный автобус. Местный знающий, выдающийся гид, который взял нас через музей, объяснив, что мы видим (и даем нам время, чтобы прогуляться самостоятельно), а затем через археологический объект снова с некоторым свободным временем. Мы закончили день прекрасной остановкой и местной фермой с дегустацией. Очень приятный день.

This was a wonderful shore excursion. Our guide Mario was fantastic handling changes to our itinerary due to rain in the morning, and accommodating people who were less mobile than others. The honey farm was really interesting, and our guide at the olympic site was fun and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!

Eleni, the Olympic site guide, and driver Consta were excellent. The stops to learn about the production and taste the olive oil at Padelina in Ancient Olympia and the history of honey collection and its use at Klio’s honey farm were fascinating and tasty additions to an already wonderful experience. We would highly recommend this excursion.

This experience was AMAZING! My wife and I found this, and we had wanted to go taste local cuisine and see the Olympic site, and this was the perfect combo!!! Our group was picked up from the port in a comfy private coach, where our amazing guide talked us through the area driving the 30 minutes toward Olympia. After arrival, we had an amazing guided tour through the beautiful and historic Olympic site, and then were taken a few minutes away to a local bee farm, named Kilos Bee Farm. There, we got to meet the owner, Kilo, who offered us drinks and some light refreshments as she explained the life of bees, how honey is made, and allowed us to try her products and purchase some for home! Finally, we drove to a small flea market to try some amazing local olive oils and balsamic, before finally driving back to the town. For anyone who’s a history and food fan, this is the trip for you!!! HIGHLY recommended for all ages!

A wonderful experience visiting the Olympic site, our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I would also highly recommend visiting the Klios Honey Farm. It was an Authentic and quaint Family owned business passed down from 3 generations. The olive oil tasting was a great place to Stop & Shop.

Such a great time to go to Olympia during an Olympic year! Seeing the museum first and then the tour of Olympia is highly recommended as it helps to picture the place and understand the history and meaning. We really enjoyed the bee farm also and the honey was extra delicious!
